“Gorrill Palmer is truly our partner in business, consistently exceeding expectations with the level of service they provide on our development projects. With a “client first” approach and commitment to excellence, they have established a winning culture that flows through the entire organization. Having Gorrill Palmer on our team has given us a tremendous engineering advantage.”

“We absolutely must give a special tip of the cap to the planning board, and especially to Gorrill Palmer, the civil engineers on the project who prepared this extremely complex proposal for planning board review. This is by far one of the largest mixed-use real estate projects to be built in Portland, Maine for several decades. The level of detail and professionalism those folks brought to the preparation and review process is impossible to over-state. (Reference Shipyard Brewing Redevelopment which includes Vets First Choice Headquarters)”

"Gorrill Palmer is more of a partner than consultant for us. We have done numerous developments with them over the past 10 years. In each case they heard our needs and communicated them clearly to city officials. Cities and agencies trust and respect them. But it never ended there. Even after receiving all permits, they were advocates for us within communities and in regulatory agencies.

They work extremely well with our construction teams and jumped when we needed anything. Most recently we were in a jam and GP drove 3 hours for a site visit and returned to their office to complete the work needed. The revised site plan was submitted to the city and we received our certificate of occupancy the next morning."

"What stands out in having GP on the team is their ability to navigate the regulatory process, including meeting the ever-changing rigorous technical demands required of land development projects, while maintaining an awareness of other critical elements economics, schedule, tenants - that an owner needs to balance in order to deliver a successful project. The difference is that GP brings to an owner's team day-to-day principal level experience and attention that helps an owner set a course and manage the inevitable bumps along the way."

Work on Maine’s “Most Beautiful Hotel”

October 8, 2016 by Lynn Ericson

ocean house king bedIn the spring of 2017, The Cliff House Hotel will be transformed into one of Maine’s most beautiful and luxurious places to visit on the southern coast.

Gorrill Palmer has been working with the owner’s and developers of the project since the idea of improvements were in the earliest stages nearly two decades ago.

The Cliff House permitted a Master Plan in 2000 to modernize the facility into one of the premier resorts in Maine. Gorrill Palmer was originally hired to prepare the traffic study for the original Master Plan working with the architect.  In 2014, a new ownership group purchased the property and retained Gorrill Palmer to prepare an updated traffic study, site design and lead the permitting effort.
