Alton M. Palmer, PE
As President and Principal of Gorrill Palmer, Al Palmer is responsible for providing overall vision and executive leadership to the company. Al led the establishment of the Virginia office, manages the company’s Virginia and Maine Offices, and directs Gorrill Palmer’s Land Development Group for both offices.
Al co-founded Gorrill Palmer with Tom Gorrill in 1998. A Professional Engineer, he brings over thirty years of site and roadway design experience, working in both the public and private sector throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic Area. His expertise includes site selection, feasibility evaluation, civil and site design and permitting for a wide variety of land development projects including institutional projects such as courthouses, hospitals and schools, retail projects ranging in size from neighborhood shopping centers to super regional malls, office and hospitality uses and residential developments. He has had senior responsibility for all phases of projects from the conceptual design phase through contract administration and inspection during construction.
Al is a past Chairperson of the Planning Board in the Town of Gray, Maine having served on the Board for seven years, a former School Board Member for MSAD #15, and past Board Member of Central Maine Adaptive Sports. Al has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut at Storrs.
William C. Haskell, PE, CPESC
A Vice President and Principal Partner at Gorrill Palmer, Will Haskell directs the company’s Municipal Group.
A Professional Engineer and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, Will brings twenty five years of experience in site development, stormwater management, drainage and hydraulics throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, California and Colorado. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction. Will is widely recognized for his sensible approach to balancing aesthetics, cost effectiveness, operational characteristics and sensitivity to the natural environment.
Will is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and served as President of the Maine Section. He also served as a member of the Planning Board in the Town of Raymond, Maine for seven years.
Will has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and Water Resources from Colorado State University.
Donald G. Ettinger, PE
A Vice President and Principal Partner at Gorrill Palmer, Don Ettinger directs the company’s Transportation Engineering Group.
Don is a Professional Engineer and brings over twenty years of experience to the company, specializing in the design, engineering and feasibility analysis of roadway, bridge, traffic, rail and site improvement projects. Don has worked with a wide range of public and private sector clients throughout New England, including serving as a project manager for in-house MaineDOT projects. Many of Don’s recent transportation projects for MaineDOT and municipalities have focused on the Complete Streets initiative where roadway facilities are designed for all users including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
Don is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine.
Lauren Pasquali
As Business Operations Manager at Gorrill Palmer, Lauren directs the Company’s day to day business operations, Including Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, Administrative staff, and Business Insurance. Lauren was previously the Director of Finance at Pierce Atwood for six years and prior to that, was the Accounting Manager At Woodard & Curran for 17 years.
Lauren has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Husson University.
