Job Description
This position requires the ability to work with engineers and clients while managing budgets and schedules. Knowledge in the principles and practices of a variety of municipal engineering projects is critical. The primary focus includes municipal planning and revitalization plans, road and multimodal design, low impact and green infrastructure design, sewer collection system design, water distribution system design, pavement management, and construction management.
As an essential member of the Municipal Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, budgets, and staff. Leading the preparation of design plans, specifications and estimates as well as managing and directing staff on assignments, collaborating with clients, attending and participating in meetings, and performing marketing efforts for our group and the firm. Work will also include coordinating project and construction related assignments with other group leaders and project managers in the company.
Qualifications
· Proven leadership and project management skills
· Knowledge and experience with municipal civil infrastructure planning, design, permitting, and construction
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Diligence and commitment to quality
· Be able to provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering and technical staff
· Preparation of proposals and fee budgets for a variety of municipal projects
· Taking initiative and willing to take responsibility
Requirements
· Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in municipal civil infrastructure
· Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant project management experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
· Licensed Professional Engineer in Maine
· Experience with environmental permitting in Maine and New Hampshire
