Recently, Gorrill Palmer design engineer Christi Holmes spoke to the engineering class at the Maine Girls Academy about what civil engineering is, and what opportunities there are for women in the field. Christi was joined by Stacey Harris, project superintendent at Consigli who, together, walked the students through the design and construction process. The class is currently designing prosthetic hands and will begin building them next semester. We are very proud of Christi and Stacey for sharing their passion with the next generation of female engineers.
